In a little less than one year, we will open the doors to a brand new, $87.5 million rec center here on the beautiful University of Wisconsin campus. The Nicholas Recreation Center (Nick) will house more than 30,000 square feet of fitness space; an 8-lane, 50-meter competition pool with a separate diving well; eight full-size basketball courts; five multipurpose studios; and the heart of a team who spent the past five years making our dreams become a reality.
Here in Madison, we believe we are more than a building. We are building a movement. Our vision is to create a culture of healthy habits through inclusion, education, innovation, and connection. In August 2019, we will change our name to University Recreation and Wellbeing to further demonstrate our commitment to inspiring Badgers to play hard, get fit, and live well.
As a member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to help us open the Nick and begin designing a second new facility on the opposite side of campus. Your experiences, ideas, and strengths will be valued and leveraged from Day One to deliver mission-driven results. At UW-Madison, we practice what we preach. We work hard. We push limits. We move fast. We aren’t afraid to fail, and we certainly aren’t afraid to stand out.
If this sounds like you, we hope you’ll consider applying for our Coordinator of Member Services position. On, Wisconsin!
